Bullywugs.

Speaking of the Dungeons and Dragons Cartoon…

I remember one episode with Bullywugs.  Now, I say “I remember” as in “No, I haven’t bought the DVD yet.  I am hanging my head in shame.”  Of course, I could have bought the DVD months ago, like one of my friends did.  See, that’s an interesting story, too, but let me get back to Bullywugs first.

 Bullywugs.  As I recall, Eric the Cavalier (did anyone else think it was wierd that half the party was made up of classes from Unearthed Arcana?  Cross-promotion, I suppose…) finds himself turned into a Bullywug.  What I could never understand is how the armor still fit him. 

Anyways, tomorrow nite’s session has Bullywugs.  Messes of them.  And while I’ve not been collecting the D&D minis per se (I leave that to my players) I do know that one of the recent expansions included Bullywugs.  So, that’s cool at least.  But I’m trying to figure out how to get someone from the party transformed into a Bullywug.  It’s not part of the story, but gosh it would be fun.  On top of it, I’ve got to figure out which of my players I want to inflict this on.  Which brings us back again to the DVD.

So, this friend of mine went to Detriot to the Motor City Comicon a few months back.  He bought his D&D Cartoon DVD, which was obviously a bootleg as the real thing hadn’t been released.  He bought some other things (strange Anime movies, some of which might have been, and I’m making a stretch here, a bit racy) and left.  Literally as he is sitting in the parking lot, the FBI or some other law enforcement organization raids the place for copyright violations.

Talk about your close calls.  I think I’m going to have to make it his character that turns into a bullywug.
